Distributed systems
Reliability is a product requirement
At NSoft, I worked on backend microservices for real-time betting platforms. These systems needed to stay responsive and reliable under high-throughput workloads.
That meant considering the behavior of the entire flow: service boundaries, message delivery, data access, and the interactions between distributed components.
Work across the system
I designed and maintained backend services and built integrations using Java, Spring Boot, Elixir, RabbitMQ, Kafka, Redis, and relational and non-relational databases.
Automated unit tests helped prevent regressions and support the platform’s strict service-level requirements.
Make the team stronger
Alongside delivery, I mentored four junior developers over six months. Three were hired full-time, and several later moved into team lead roles.
Explaining decisions, reviewing work, and helping others become independent were meaningful parts of the job.
